Dylan Seidler is a PhD candidate at Dalhousie University with an interdisciplinary background in environmental history and marine management. Her specific interests include: building relationships with Indigenous communities and small-scale fisheries., endangered species survival protection, marine mammal and salmonid conservation and mitigating climate change/environmental impacts. Her PhD work, and the subject of her nerd night talk, is focused on combining different data sources on Arctic char to support Inuit food security

Sarah Brown is the Manager of Science Education at the Back to the Sea Centre in Downtown Dartmouth. With a Masters of Biology from Acadia University (spring 2023) she has always had a passion for ocean education. Working previously as Program Coordinator for a nature and science exploration camp and now as a Manager of Education, She is always happiest whenever she can share my love for the ocean with others.

Grantham Clodd is from Orangeville Ontario, with a bachelors in history from Dalhousie University and a life-long passion for history. His focus is often on military history, with a more specific focus on decision-making and how that affects the practical situation for the individual soldier.
